Action buttons can be configured to generate several different types of actions:
To make it easy for your prospects and customer to share a board with their colleagues, set an action button the the "Share" action. The customer will then be prompted to enter the email address of their colleagues. The Share action will be recorded in the Pulse table.
1. Get Visitor Email – If a known visitor clicks this button, they will see a message saying, “Thanks, we will get in touch with you shortly.”
If an anonymous visitor clicks this button, they will first be prompted to enter an email address. This is a helpful way to get contact information from unknown prospects.
2. Send a Message – Clicking this Call to Action (CTA) allows the user to compose an email message to the person in charge of the board. If the visitor is anonymous, she will be prompted to enter an email address.
3. Open a URL – Clicking this CTA takes the viewer to a different web page, either in a new tab (recommended) or in the same tab. Say your board is inviting viewers to a webinar. Your action button could then link to a registration page where they can RSVP.
4. Form – Clicking this CTA opens a form prompting the visitor to enter information such as name, email, company, and more. Visitors are always required to enter their names and email, but the other fields can be set as required, optional, or hidden.
After submitting their information, viewers will see a message. Both the submit button label and post-submit message are customizable.
