In the Federated Model, one board is shared by multiple sellers from the same team. However, each team member invites only their own prospects to the board, and only receives notifications from these prospects.
To utilize this framework, team members must share the board as inviters. There are multiple ways to share a board as an inviter:
Sharing a board via email invitation
When you share a board externally via Folloze email invitation, Folloze automatically designates you as the inviter, whether you are the board’s owner, an editor, or a subscriber.

Sharing a board via trackable link
When using trackable links, the creator of the trackable link is, by default, the inviter. Trackable links cannot be federated.
Sharing a board via public link
When using public links, the board owner is, by default, the inviter. But, you can also designate a different inviter, by converting the original public link into what’s called a federated link.
To create a federated public link:
1. Generate a new public link. Copy the link into a text editor.
2. Append the parameter &inby= to the very end of the link, with no spaces
3. Paste the inviter’s email address after the =
For example, if the inviter’s email is email@example.com, the parameter should read &firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your finished, federated link should look something this:
4. Paste the link to a website, social media post, etc. and share! The new inviter will now receive all notifications generated by anyone using that link.
Sharing a board via campaign link
You can also turn any campaign link into a federated link (see above). Just add the parameter &inby= to the very end of the campaign link, with no spaces. Paste the inviter’s email address after the = sign.
For example, if the inviter’s email address is email@example.com and you’re using Mail Chimp, the link should look something like this:
This method works with any automation/mailer platform.
Sharing a board via Outlook/CRM
You can also share a board from Outlook , or a CRM system like Salesforce, by using their Folloze Add-ins. In this method, the current user (whoever is logged into Outlook or the CRM) is, by default, the inviter.
