User roles are a set of permissions that control access to the Folloze platform. The Company Admin manages the user roles and what a user is authorized to do on boards.
Folloze offers different types of user roles.
- Company Admin can access the Admin console and has permissions like an author.
- Author can create boards both online and offline and can approve boards created by Players.
- Player can create boards offline but must submit them to be approved by an Author before they can be available online.
- Company Editor can edit all items and boards across the company, including items in the Content Center.
By default, the Company Admin and Editor is added to all boards as editor and you do not need to invite them to each board separately.
When a Player creates a board, the board is created in an offline mode and cannot be shared in any way except when submitting it for review.
When submitting the board for review, the Player can choose which Author (it can be more than 1 Author) from their company should approve the board and can add a note to the request.
The Author will receive an email asking them to approve the board.
After the board has been submitted for approval, the board displays a message declaring it was submitted for approval.
Authors and players can find all pending boards awaiting approval in the "Pending Approval" tab in their Folloze instance.
The Author can approve or decline the board and add a note when declining.
If the Author declines the board, the Player will receive an email with the note from the Author.
If the board is approved, the Player will receive an email notification. The board will be available online and can be shared.
