Board-level Impact Dashboard Overview 

The board-level Impact Dashboard is a next-level analytics tool designed to provide visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs). It reveals the impact of engagement metrics and transforms raw data into actionable insights. Our goal is to empower you and your team with tools for demonstrating results of your campaigns and programs, enable informed decision-making, and ensure your continued success. 

The data presented on the Impact Dashboard is:   

• Only for external leads as set at org level. To learn more about external/internal leads, read the article Defining Internal Domains. 
• Updated once an hour.  

Access to data on the Impact Dashboard is also available at the organization level. 

Board-level Dashboard 

The board-level Impact Dashboard is a collection of data, presenting you with an extensive view of a board’s performance, engaged accounts and people, top content items, view time and more. Since the Impact Dashboard is available directly under each board, you can easily capture a quick snapshot of board results and share it with others.

To view a board’s impact dashboard: 

1. Select a board. 
2. On the left navigation bar, go to the Impact Dashboard.

The main Impact Dashboard widgets present the following KPIs for a high-level summary on a board’s performance.   

• Accounts Visited: Total unique accounts that had at least one person visiting your board(s), based on applied filters
• People Visited: Total unique people who engaged with the board(s) based on the applied filters
  • If a person was invited, but did not land on board, they will not be counted as engaged people 
• Visits: Total visits of people who landed on board(s) based on the applied filters
• Avg Time on Content / Person: Average content engagement time by person. Average is calculated as total time people spent on content divided by number of people that viewed content items, based on applied filters.  
• Avg Time on Board / Person:  Average engagement time by person. Average is calculated as total view time of all people who landed on board(s) ,divided by number of people landed on board(s), based on applied filters. 
• Statuses: The status of people who landed on board(s). 
  • Same as Pulse, based on content views and clicks 
• UTM by Visits: A breakdown of all visits, with UTM they landed with, based on applied filters
  • Select to view Source, Medium or Campaign.
• Top Content Items: Top content items on your board(s). Sort by Name, Views, or Avg Time/Person to view top content items based on that engagement KPI.
• Visits over time: Total visits of people landed on board(s) engaged, per period based on applied filters and period level. To see more information, hover over each period in the chart. 

Filter the Impact Dashboard 

You can filter the Impact Dashboard by a specific time range or use the available filters to focus on specific data.
After filtering the dashboard, those filters will be applied across all data, including the drill-down sections. In addition, selected date filters are saved and applied the next time you wish to view this board’s dashboard.     

Date Filters 

By default, the dashboard presents data for the last month.

You can use the date filters to focus on a specific time range and choose to view the dashboard on a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. By default, the date range presented is by Daily and Last 30 days. 

When selecting weekly, monthly or quarterly date ranges, the system will display data for whole weeks, months or quarters. Even if you only selected dates for part of a month, the system will round out the month and present data for the whole month.  For monthly, it displays data for an entire calendar month, while weekly views present data for a business week from Monday to Sunday. 

1. To show data for a specific time range, set the desired Date Range.  
2. To show data for specific dates, use the calendar picker. 
3. Click Apply.   

Additionally, you can view metrics compared to previous time periods. The previous period indicator is displayed on each widget. It refers to the period type selected, for example if you selected the ‘last month’, the previous period corresponds to the month before. If you selected the ‘last 14 days’, the previous period shows the previous 14 days.   

Dashboard Filters 

You can use the available filters to focus on specific data on the Impact Dashboard. If you do not use the filters, by default ALL data for HUMANS is presented to you on the dashboard.  

1. To filter the Impact Dashboard, open the filter section.  
   The following filters are available:  

• Account: choose the specific account(s) from the list which you want to include. Or, search the list by account name or domain. 
• Identity: select a lead identity from the drop-down list; All, Known, or Unknown.  
• Invited By: choose the specific user(s) from the list which you want to include. Or, search the list by username or email.
• Human/ Bot: select All, Human, Suspected Bot, or None. By default, ‘Human’ is selected.  
• UTM Source: type a UTM source value and click Enter. Or, view data of All UTM Sources.
• UTM Medium: type a UTM medium value and click Enter. Or, view data of All UTM Mediums.
• UTM Campaign: type a UTM campaign value and click Enter. Or, view data of All UTM Campaigns.
• Campaign: choose the specific campaign(s) from the list which you want to include. Or, search the list by campaign name. 

    2. After selecting all relevant filters, click Apply.    

View granular information 

Drill-down on a widget and view further information and trends. 

1.  To drill down and view granular information and trends on accounts and people, click on any widget or click Explore More and then select Expand Dashboard.  

• Accounts Visited: for engaged accounts, you can view the following data:  
  • Account Visited Over Time: Number of unique accounts with at least one person visiting your boards, based on the applied filters and period level.  
  • By Industry: Breakdown of all accounts by the industry they belong to.    
• People/ Traffic - for engaged people and visits, you can view the following data: 
  • People Visited Over Time: Total unique engaged people, per period, based on applied filters and period level. To see more information, hover over each period in the chart. 
  • Avg Time On Board / Person over Time: Average engagement time from all people landed on board(s) divided by number of accounts landed on board(s), per period, based on applied filters and period level. To see more information, hover over each period in the chart. 
  • CTA Clicks: Breakdown of all CTA clicks, by type, including form submissions, registrations, and more, based on applied filters. 
  • Known vs Unknown: Breakdown of all engaged people whether they are Known (by email), Unknown (guests) or Inferred (their account is identified but not their email). To see more information, hover over each slice in the chart. 
  • Human vs Suspected bots: Breakdown of all engaged people whether they are identified as Human or suspected bot. To see more information, hover over each slice in the chart. 

The Impact dashboard displays key performance indicators (KPIs) for average time engagement metrics. To provide the most accurate insights, we exclude outliers from our calculations. Outliers are data points significantly different from others, which can skew the average and misrepresent typical user engagement. By removing these anomalies, we ensure that the average time KPIs reflect a more accurate and meaningful measure of user behavior.

Explore Engaged Accounts 

Explore more information about all engaged accounts in your organization. You can search for a specific account to find more data or view all accounts. You can also download a drilldown of the Account List in a CSV file. 

1. To view all engaged accounts on the Engagement Details: Accounts and People table, perform one of the following:
   1. On the Impact Dashboard, click the View account list   to open the Engagement Details: Accounts and People table.
      OR
   2. On the Accounts Visited widget, open Explore More and select View Accounts List.    

The Engagement Details: Accounts and People table opens.  The table is sorted by the following columns:    

• Account name
• Score
• Visits
• People
• Avg Engagement Time
• Avg Content Engagement Time
• Item consumed
• Item views
• Unique Items viewers 

2. To find information about specific accounts, use the table filters.
3. To display data on accounts for a specific time period, use the date filters.
4. To view more details of a specific account, hover over the account row and click on the arrow. This will direct you to the account’s Account Dashboard. 
5. To download the Account List in a CSV file, click the download icon in the upper right corner. 

Explore UTMs

Drill-down and view more about the accounts with respect to UTM sources, mediums and campaigns. 

1. On the UTM widget, click on a slice of the pie chart or open the three dots menu and select View Details. 

Data on the accounts with at least one of their people who visited through this UTM is displayed in a table, sorted by the following columns:  

• Account name
• Score
• Visits
• People
• Avg Engagement Time
• Avg Content Engagement Time
• Item consumed
• Item views
• Unique Items viewers

2. To view data on all accounts that visited by UTM, filter the table by All Utms.
3. To view data on accounts visiting from specific UTMs only, multi-select the UTMs.  

To display data on accounts from a specific UTM, use the search box. You can only view the date range and filters, and not edit them.  

Explore Top Content Items

Drill-down and view more details on accounts that at least one person viewed a content item. You can learn which accounts viewed the content, including the following data:  

• Name: name of content item
• Views: number of views of the content item
• Avg Time / Person: average time spent on the content item

On the Top Content Items widget, open the three dots menu and select View Details or click on a specific content item.

Data on content items is displayed in a table sorted by the following columns:    

• Account name
• Score
• Visits
• People
• Avg Engagement Time
• Avg Content Engagement Time
• Item consumed
• Item views
• Unique Items viewers

2. To view data on all content items, filter the table by All Items.
3. To view data on specific content items only, multi-select the items.    
4. To find a specific content item, use the search box. You can only view the date range and filters, and not edit them.   

How do we analyze data?

To ensure the data and KPIs presented on the Impact Dashboard are accurate and truly reflective of typical performance, we apply an outlier filtering process. Outliers, data points that deviate significantly from typical user behavior, are removed to prevent skewed results and averages. Specifically, we focus on significant visits, defined as those lasting more than 10 seconds or involving meaningful activities like clicks or content views. This filtering improves the accuracy of KPIs and average time metrics, offering a clearer, more reliable measure of actual user engagement across accounts.
