The HubSpot–Folloze Contact Sync allows Folloze to recognize visitors and associate their engagement with the correct HubSpot contact. This ensures reliable attribution, analytics continuity, and consistent visibility into how leads and accounts interact with Folloze boards.

Setup:

1. Go to Company admin -> integration-> Hubspot

2. Enable “Sync Contact Data from HubSpot to Folloze“

This identification occurs using either:

• A HubSpot Contact ID embedded in the board URL,

• A HubSpot tracking cookie (HUTK) already present in the visitor’s browser
  
  
  

Once identified, Folloze can sync the visitor’s first name, last name, and email address from HubSpot into the Folloze activity record.This enables accurate engagement tracking and lead association.

 

How the Identification Process Works

1. Visitor Arrives on a Folloze Board

The visitor may initially appear as anonymous.

2. Folloze Looks for HubSpot Identity Signals

Folloze checks for:

HubSpot Contact ID passed in the URL  (e.g., from HubSpot email campaigns, by using the Hubspot’s encoded campaign link)

HubSpot Tracking Cookie (HUTK) stored in the browser

 

3. If an Identification Signal Is Found

Folloze securely queries HubSpot to determine who the visitor is.

4. Contact Profile Is Synced to Folloze

Folloze retrieves:

• First Name
  
  

• Last Name
  
  

• Email Address
  
  

This allows Folloze to attribute engagement data to the HubSpot contact record, and associate the contact identity with a Folloze lead.

Visitor previously interacted with your HubSpot-tracked website → HubSpot cookie exists → Folloze automatically associates engagement when they visit a board → no form submission required.

Anonymous Lead Converts

Anonymous visitor views a board → later completes a form → Folloze reconciles past and present activity to the new HubSpot contact → complete history restored.
