In the Federated Model, one board is shared by multiple sellers from the same team. However, each team member invites only their own prospects to the board, and only receives notifications from these prospects.
To utilize this framework, team members must share the board as inviters. An inviter can be an owner, editor or subscriber.
If you share a board as an inviter:
- The greeting (if activated) will come from you.
- The contact card (if activated) will show your information (it will be your contact card).
- Only you will receive notifications on actions taken by prospects you invited to the board, even if your team members share the same board with others.
This ensures everyone receives the notifications they need, without getting overwhelmed by alerts that aren’t relevant to them.
It also means that instead of constantly creating new boards for new purposes, marketers can simply update the same board as needed. Sellers can then share the board with prospects and receive notifications without becoming board owners or editors, which gives marketing full control over the look and messaging.
There are multiple ways to share a board as an inviter. See the article on Designating inviters for an explanation of each method.
