You can design the call-to-action buttons and forms displayed on your board sections and inspire your lead to take action on a board - send a message or email, share the board with others or fill in a form.  

To edit the buttons and forms, hover over them and select the pencil icon or simply double click on the form or button.

Designing call-to-action buttons 

Use the editing tools to design the call-to-action buttons on your board. 

1. To design a button, hover over the CTA button and click the edit button or double-click on the button. 

    

    
2. Choose a button style from the drop-down list. Button styles are part of the board theme and cannot be edited.  
3. Enter a button label. 
4. Under Actions, select the type of action taken when the lead clicks the button. 

• Contact Me: allows leads to contact you by entering their email address. When choosing this option, select a privacy message to add to the CTA button.  
• Send a Message: allows leads to send you a message. When choosing this option, select a privacy message to add to the CTA button.  
• Open a URL: generates a link on the board. Enter the URL in the textbox and select Open in a new tab if you want the URL to open in a new page. 
• Anchor: direct leads to an anchored section on the board using a button.  
• Form: add a preconfigured or custom form from the dropdown list or create a new form. To learn more about configuring form settings, read below. 
  • When choosing the Form option, select a privacy message to add to the form. You can optionally send an email to notify leads that the form was received by enabling Send an email upon submission and then selecting an Email Template. In the Who is the sender field, select the inviter or enter the name of another person in whose name the email will be sent. 
• Share: allows leads to share a board with others. When choosing this option, select a privacy message to add to the Share button. You can optionally send an email to notify about board sharing by enabling Send an email upon submission and then selecting an Email Template. ‘System’ refers to Folloze templates and ‘Board’ refers to board email templates.

• Registration: generates a registration form for leads to register for live events or gated content. Choose a preconfigured form from the dropdown list or create a new form. To learn more about configuring form settings, read below . 
  • When choosing the Registration option, select a privacy message to add to the registration form. You can optionally send an email to notify leads that the registration form was received by enabling Send an email upon submission and then selecting an Email Template. In the Who is the sender field, select the inviter or enter the name of another person in whose name the email will be sent.
• Send an Email:  allows leads to send an email directly from a board. When designing the button, fill in the ‘To’ and ‘Subject’ fields. When the lead clicks on the Send an Email button, an email message of the lead’s default email provider opens with the ‘To’ and ‘Subject’ fields filled in already.       

   

• Open Content Item: Allows you to direct leads to a specific content item within the board, helping highlight key assets and drive deeper engagement.

Adding forms to boards

When adding a form to a board, you can choose from the following types: 

• Classic form: an OOTB form that you can set which fields are required, optional or invisible; but you cannot add fields to the form. You can also enter text for the Submit Form Button Label, i.e., Submit or Send.  Additionally, you can enable Auto fill so that the form is automatically filled in case the lead is recognized by the system.
• External form: a form created and formatted in an external system.
• Marketo form: a form created in Marketo and added to the Folloze instance. The Marketo form appears in the list of form options marked with a ‘Marketo’ label.  Before you can add your Marketo form to a board, request from your Company Admin to embed your formatted Marketo form in Folloze. By default, Folloze auto-fills the following fields on the form: first name, last name, email, company, phone, country and state. The remaining fields are controlled by Marketo. 
• Eloqua form: a form created in Eloqua and added to the Folloze instance. The form appears in the list of form options marked with an ‘Eloqua’ label.  
• Custom form: a form created and formatted by a Folloze developer. By default, the form fields are populated with the metadata provided by Folloze. After adding a custom form to your board, you have the option to edit the default metadata fields, including the form title, display message on submit, and the redirect URL link.  

Configuring form settings 

After adding a form to your board, you can configure the form settings. 
In addition, you can customize the submit message displayed after users submit forms on a board by designing the text, colors and duration of time the message appears on the screen. 

 

1. Under General Settings, configure the following settings:
      a. Select a form from the available dropdown list.
      b. Enter a Form Title.
      c. To display the form fields in two columns, select the two-column layout option. This option is available for Marketo and Folloze forms.
      d. Enter a Redirect URL on Submit to redirect leads to a different URL after submitting the form. If the field is left empty, leads will remain on the board after submitting the form.
      e. To open the Redirect URL in a new tab upon submission, select the checkbox.
      f. To Send an email upon submission, select the checkbox.
    
2. Under Submit Message, configure the Confirmation Message settings.
   1. Enter text for a Submit Message to display when the lead submits the form (i.e., Thank you or Thanks for contacting us!).  
   2. Set a Delay time for how long the message will appear.
   3. Set the Text Color of the message.
   4. Set the Top Line Color.
   5. To set a Background Color, choose between Color and Gradient.
   6. To add an image in the background, select Image.   

Creating a new form 

You can create a new classic form and design the form settings. 

To create a new form: 

1. Click +NEW FORM.
2. Enter a Form Name. This identifying name will appear in the dropdown list of forms. 
3. Enter a Form Title. 
4. Configure the available form fields as Optional, Required, or Invisible. Email is a required field. 
5. Under Form Button Label, name the button label (i.e., Send, Submit). 
6. Enter a Confirmation Message to display when the lead submits the form (i.e., Thank you or Thanks for contacting us!).  
7. Add a URL address to redirect leads to a different URL after submitting the form. If the field is left empty, leads will remain on the board after submitting the form.   
8. To automatically fill in the form in case the lead is recognized by the system, enable Auto fill. 
9. To save the settings, click Save Form.
