Make your content more visually appealing in the Promoted Content section. 

Here are a few ways to use the Promoted Content 

• Make your videos and presentations stand out on the board
• Promote popular content items   
• Personalize content items 

After choosing the Promoted Content template, you can begin designing the section and choosing which items to add. In this way, you can highlight your favorite items in a more engaging and attractive presentation.   

Designing a promoted content section 

1.  Select the board you wish to design with a Promoted Content section and open the Designer tab. 
2.  Hover over the border between sections where you want to add a content section and click Add Section. The Section Gallery opens and displays the section types.   
3.  Select Content from the section menu. Then, select the Promoted Content template.
4. Click Add Section. The new Promoted Content section appears on your board for you to design.
5. To edit a Promoted Content section element, choose one of the section editors.   

• Promoted Content section editor - design the overall look of the section and item card information. 
• Background editor - edit background settings, including images and padding
• Text editor - edit the title and subtitle.

Note: To personalize the Promoted Content section, use the personalization mode in the BX3 Designer only. 

Using the promoted content section editor  

Using the promoted content section editor, you can design the Promoted Content section settings, such as configuring the item card information and item viewer settings.   

1. To open the promoted content editor, click the edit button on the content section toolbar. 

    

   
2.  To hide the Title or Subtitle, disable the eye icon next to it. 
3. Set the Alignment of the title and subtitle.   
4. Under Source, click Select Item. Select the content items to add to the section and then click Save Changes. You can add 2-5 items for this section.  

The presentation of items will change dynamically depending on the number of items selected.

5.  Sort the order of items on the board and choose how to display the items in the section, according to the most popular or by the order in the content tab. 
6. Under Design, choose an Item title color and Tint.  
7. Under Item viewer, choose how the item is viewed on the board:  

• Classic theme displays a content item on the entire screen. This is optimal for displaying files and articles.
• Lightbox theme highlights the item while displaying it on the background of the board. This is generally used for images and videos.  

8. To show the download icon and allow users to download files, enable the eye icon.
9. Select the layout of content for viewing the journey of next items on the Item  Viewer.               
10. Bottom: the next content items are displayed at the bottom of the item viewer.  

• Arrows: use the arrows to move to the next content item.  10.  To add Animation, select the checkbox.  

 

Designing the promoted section background 

You can design the background with a unique background color, image or video and update padding settings. 

1. To open the background editor, click the background edit button on the content section toolbar.    
2. To edit the background elements, see the help article Using the Background Editor.  

Editing the promoted content section title and subtitle  

You can use the text editor to edit the Content section title and subtitle.  

1. To open the text editor, hover over the text of the title or subtitle in the Content section and click the text edit button.
