The Simulive section enables you to broadcast a pre-recorded video session as a digital event, providing your audience with the experience of both pre-recorded video content and live interaction during the event. 

Adding a simulive event to your board is ideal for hosting webinars and demos, scheduled to start at a designated date and time. Following the event, the video can be made available on the board for on-demand viewing. Attendees can also engage in live chatting during the simulive event, enhancing the interactive experience.   

Before you begin 

• Video size - 1GB 
• Image size - 1:1 ratio, We highly recommend using an image size between 500kb and 1000kb for optimal loading time.
• The following video types are supported: MP4 and MOV

Designing a Simulive Event

You can design the different elements of the Simulive section to suit your own personal style.

1. Select the board on which you wish to add a Simulive section and open the Designer tab.   
2. Hover over the border between sections where you want to add the section and click Add Section. The Section Gallery opens and displays the section types.  
3. From the section menu, select the Events category and then select the Simulive section type. 
4. Click Add Section. The new Simulive section appears on your board for you to design.
5. To design the Simulive section, choose one of the section editors. 

• • Simulive section editor - design the overall look of the section and add the simulive video
  • Background editor - edit background settings, including images and padding
  • Text editor - edit the title and subtitle of the section and the attendance buttons
  • Button editor - design the button style and settings 

Using the Simulive Section Editor 

Using the Simulive section editor, you can upload the video and schedule the event date, time, and time zone. You can customize titles for different stages of your event, such as pre-event, during the event, and post-event. Additionally, you have the option to hide certain elements using the visibility icons.

1. To open the Simulive section editor, click the Simulive edit button on the section toolbar.                                          
   1. To hide the Title, Subtitle, and Button on the section, disable the visibility icon next to it.
   2.  Set the Alignment of the title, subtitle and button.  
2. Design the event’s Settings. 
   1. To change the Event Name, enter a new attention-grabbing event name in the textbox. By default, the event name given is the board’s name. The event name is used in analytics and as the calendar invite title. 
   2. Click Upload Video to add your video to the board. Please note: When a new video file is uploaded, the scheduled event's end time will be adjusted based on the length of the video. For example, if your event is scheduled for one hour and you upload a 30-minute video, the event's end time will automatically change from one hour to 30 minutes.
   3. To edit the video name, click the pencil edit icon on the video name. 
   4. Use the slider to set the Video Size.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
3. Under Schedule Event, configure the following settings: 
   1. Use the calendar picker to set the start time, end time, and time zone of your event. 
      The event schedule appears on the board until the event starts.
   2. To add an Add To Calendar button to your board, enable the visibility icon next to it. 
      Adding the button enables a lead to add the scheduled event to their personal calendar. The button is displayed on the event placeholder and the lead can choose from one of the following calendar options:

• APPLE
• GOOGLE
• OFFICE 365
• OUTLOOK
• OUTLOOK WEB
• YAHOO

After the lead selects a calendar, the following information is included on their calendar:

• Event title
• Start date and time
• Description of event 
• Live event link

3. In the textbox, write a short description of the event. After the lead adds the simulive event to their calendar, this description will appear on the lead's calendar linking to the event.    

Pre event / During event / Post event 

You can configure settings for different stages of an event - pre-event, during the event and post-event.

Pre-event 

Add a title and image for visitors to see before the event begins. The event’s information appears on the board until the event starts.

1. Show/hide the Title and Image for the pre-event stage. 
2. To edit the Title, click on the pencil edit icon on the title. Use the text editor to design the title. 
3. To edit the Image, click on the pencil edit icon and select an image from the Image Library. Use the image editor to design the image.
4. Presented time – You can choose whether to display the event time in the visitor’s local time or in the selected time zone:

During event 

Design the attendance button for visitors to join the event and enable the chat for attendees to communicate during the event. 
 

1. Select a design for the Attendance button from the drop-down list. 
2. Enter the text for the Attendance button in the text field, i.e., “Ready to join?” 
3. Use the eye icon to show/hide the Chat in your Simulive event.   
4. Use the eye icon to show/hide the Participant list.  

Post event 

After the live event has ended, you can add the recorded event to your board for those who missed watching it live. The item/file that was selected under Settings will be added here. 

In addition, you can add a placeholder for the event on your board.   
 

1. To design the Placeholder for the post event, show or hide the Title, Image and Button.  

Designing the Section Background 

You can design the background with a unique background color, image or video and update padding settings.

1. To open the background editor, click the background edit button on the Simulive section toolbar.   
2. To edit the background elements, see the article Using the Background Editor.  

Editing the Simulive section title and subtitle 

You can use the text editor to edit the title and subtitle of the Simulive section, along with the attendance buttons for each stage of the event. Create a memorable title and subtitle for your event to capture the audience’s attention.

1. To open the text editor, hover over the text of the title or subtitle in the Simulive section or attendance buttons and click the text edit button.

Designing a call-to-action (CTA) button 

You can design the CTA button displayed on the Simulive  section, including the button style and the type of action taken when it is used.

1. Hover over the CTA button and click the edit button or double-click on the button.

Analytics and Tracking

Event Status Tracking

• Not Registered - Lead hasn't interacted with event
• Registered - Lead added event to calendar
• Attended - Lead clicked attendance button during live event
• Viewed Recording - Lead viewed post-event recording

Duration Tracking

Tracks participation time from attendance button click until event ends, board closes, or recording pauses.

Pulse Tab

• Event status for each lead (Not Registered/Registered/Attended/Viewed Recording)
• Participation duration
• Activity Stream:
  • Event name and participation duration
  • "Attended Event" and "Viewed Recording" activities

Engagement Activity Report

• "Attended Event" and "Viewed Recording" activities

Personalizing a Simulive section 

To create a more personalized experience for your visitors, you can use merge tags to replace text for each stage of the event: Pre-event, During event and Post event. Using personalization rules, you can customize each setting and text element.
