Set a Default Contact Source Value for HubSpot Sync

To ensure leads created via Folloze are properly identified in HubSpot, you can use a custom attribute and map it to a HubSpot contact property.

Step 1: Request a Custom Lead Attribute in Folloze

To create a custom lead attribute (for example: Contact Source) in Folloze, please reach out to the Folloze Support team to create a new custom attribute (e.g., Contact Source), with the default value of folloze. This ensures that every lead created through Folloze is automatically tagged with this value.

Step 2: Create a Matching Property in HubSpot

1. In HubSpot, create a custom contact property with the same purpose, or use an existing one.

2. Make sure the property type matches the Folloze attribute (e.g., single-line text or dropdown).

Step 3: Map the Fields

1. In the HubSpot lead attribute mapping settings, add the new Folloze lead attribute.

2. Map it to the matching HubSpot contact property.

Once configured, all leads synced from Folloze will carry the value “folloze” in HubSpot, making it easy to identify their source for reporting and automation.
