The Folloze-Hubspot integration allows you to track how visitors and known contacts engage with your Folloze boards, pushing those engagement signals into HubSpot. Once in HubSpot, this data can power lists, workflows, scoring, personalization, and reporting.

 

Folloze also offers the option to select the activity reporting method based on your preference or HubSpot plan limitations, using either custom events or the forms API.

Activity reporting includes anonymous visitor activity reporting, with retroactive association to a known HubSpot contact once identification occurs.

The integration can send the following Folloze engagement activities to HubSpot:

Choose a Reporting Method

In Folloze, go to:

Company admin → Integrations → HubSpot → Activities Reporting

You will choose one of the following:

Option 1 - Custom Events Method

Create a Custom Event in HubSpot

1. Go to HubSpot → Event Management

2. Click Create an Event

 

3. In “How would you like to send your event data?”, Select “Send via API”

4. In “Event details”, Name the custom event (e.g.,Folloze Engagement Activities)

5. Under “Define event properties”, add the following properties to match the Folloze properties you intend to report. 

Keep in mind that the values in the following table are similar to the default HubSpot property names used in the integration settings. Using the same property names can save you time and effort, but you can always modify them as you wish:

 

 

6. In “Link to object”, ensure that “Select a primary object” is set to Contacts.

7. In “Tracking ID”, copy the custom event’s internal name and save it.

8. Click on “Create Event”

In case you have not copied it, you can always pick the internal name from the custom event screen:

In Folloze,

1. Go to Company admin → Integrations → HubSpot → Activities Reporting
   
   

2. Select Custom Events
   
   

3. Paste the Custom Event's Internal Name

Option 2 - Forms API Method

Create an Activity Form in HubSpot

1. Go to Marketing → Forms, and click on Create Form

 

2. Under “Choose how to build your form”, choose “Form Editor”

3. Add contact properties fields to match the Folloze activity structure

 

4. Ensure all fields are Optional (Folloze will populate them dynamically).

Publish the form and copy the Form ID from the URL:

 

 

In Folloze,

1. Go to Company admin → Integrations → HubSpot → Activities Reporting

3. Paste the Form ID

Ensure the mapping matches your activity form's properties:

 

Important: Do not use this form in boards, or create this form in Company admin->Forms..

 

Anonymous Visitor Activity Reporting

With activity reporting enabled, Folloze sends all engagement data, including activities from unknown leads to HubSpot. These activities will be visible in HubSpot but will initially be "unassociated" until the unknown leads are identified and reconciled within HubSpot. This ensures all interaction data is captured.
