You can use sections to create beautiful and organized boards.

What is a section? 

A section is a specific area of your board used to present your content in an organized and visual

design.

Each board is pre-designed in a layout of modular sections with specific use cases in mind. However, you can also create a custom layout by mixing and matching sections or adding new sections from the Folloze OOTB Section Gallery as many times as you like on a board. You can also delete a section entirely. 

To help you fully design your boards, Folloze has provided you with preset sections to choose from: 

• Feature can be used to showcase your agenda, core values, products, services and more in columns or with text and image or in an interactive carousel. Or, add a form to your board.  
• Content sections can be used to display blocks of content items.   
• Banner allows you to design the top part of the board.  
• Multi tabs allows displaying different content within the same screen area by organizing it into tabs.  
• Team sections can be used to introduce your company’s team members in columns or with text and image or in an interactive carousel. 
• Logos allows you to add your company's logos to a board. 
• Events can be used to add simulive events and upcoming event agendas and speakers.   
• Testimonials can be used to present testimonials on your board.  
• Header & Footer sections allow you to add a header or footer to your board.  
• Call to actions sections enable you to add CTA buttons or forms to your board. 
• Text sections allow you to add key messages or text blocks to your board.  
• Images sections add to the visual presentation of your board.  
• UI elements allow you to add section separators to a board. 
• Custom allows you to add an embedded section to your board. 

Adding a new section 

1. Go to the Designer tab on your board. 
2. Hover over the border between sections where you wish to add a new section and click Add Section. 
   The Section Gallery opens and displays the categories of section types.  
3. Select a category from the menu and then choose one of the displayed section types.
4. Click Add Section.    

The section appears on your board for you to design.

Reordering sections 

While creating your board, you can move sections around in any order you like.  

1. To reorder the sections, open the section toolbar.  
2. To move the section up or down, click the up or down arrows respectively. 

Deleting a section

You can delete any section from your board.  

1. To delete a section, open the section toolbar.
2. Click the trash icon.  
3. Confirm the deletion. 

Designing the different section types 

Each section type includes several templates to choose from. The different Folloze section templates can provide you with inspiration for creating a unique board.  

After choosing a template, you can start designing the individual sections on your board.

In the various board sections, look for the link icon leading to the Folloze Help Center, where you can find additional details on board design. 

After designing a section, you can save it and use it later on other boards. All saved sections are available in the Sections Gallery. To learn more about saving sections, read here. 

You can also direct leads to a particular section by adding anchor links to a section. 
 

Here’s a breakdown of each section type and how each can be used in designing your board.

Feature 

The Feature section contains several uniquely designed templates from which you can choose. 

After adding a Feature section, you can edit the settings, such as colors, text, images and section styling.

Content 

The Content section contains templates for displaying your content items. Items will only be displayed if you have previously created content items on your board, otherwise the content section will be blank.

Banner

The board’s banner is an important part of your board and can set the tone of your entire board.

Multi tabs 

The Multi tabs section is designed to display different content within the same screen area by organizing it into tabs, providing a user-friendly and intuitive experience, saving screen space, and organizing complex information in an easily accessible way.

Team 

The Team section is designed specifically for the purpose of introducing your team. You can choose between one of the available layout options.

Logos 

The Logos section can be used to display your company logos.

Events 

The Events section can be used to add simulive events and upcoming event agendas and speakers. You can choose between one of the available event templates.

Testimonials

The Testimonials section is designed specifically for presenting customer testimonials about your company or product. You can choose between one of the available layout options.

Header & Footer 

The Header section is used to design the top of your board. It contains your company’s logo and tagline. To learn how to edit the header settings, read Designing a Header. You can also embed a custom header on your board for instance if your organization has an exclusive header design. 

You can add one Footer section at the bottom of the board. To learn how to edit the footer settings, read Designing a Footer.   

Call to actions 

You can display images and call to action buttons in columns on a board, or add a form section.

Text 

You can display key messages and blocks of text in the Text section.

Images

You can add separators to divide between sections on your board.
